One Day Course - Refresher
 
For the previously trained operator who has undertaken and passed the Basic Operators skills test in the past.
Upon successful completion of this course the operator will have been bought up to date with latest legislation, will have demonstrated correct operational procedure to ITSSAR standards and will receive a new Certificate of Basic Training, Operator's photo-card ID, updated Training record and copies of all course work.
This course could be used to assess new employees or to retrain operators whose driving may appear to have deteriorated. It can also be used as part of a regular scheduled retraining scheme to maintain safe operating practices.

Maximum Trainees: 3 Per Course (Previous Certificate must be available for inspection.)
Three / Two Day Course - Previous Experience
For the operator that already has some previous experience but no formal training.
Upon successful conclusion the operator will have been taught how to operate the equipment using correct operating practices. The Candidate will also have been given an in-depth understanding of all relevant theory relating to safe equipment use.
When an operator has successfully completed this course they will have been educated in relevant legislation, will have demonstrated correct operational procedure to RTITB standards and will receive a Certificate of Basic Training, Operator's photo-card ID, Training record and copies of all course work.

Maximum Trainees: Ratio 3-1 if 2-1 then 2 days
Four / Five Day - Novice or Beginner
This Course is designed for the complete beginner; he or she will be taught over 4/5 days in all procedures relating to the operation of the relevant equipment.
This course informs the candidate about their duties & responsibilities under HASAWA 74, PUWER98 & LOLER98. It makes them aware of accident statistics in their industry and instils in them a sense of responsibility towards safe use of equipment in their workplace.
The Trainee will learn all correct practices as with the three day course above but with more time available as befits their novice status.

ITSSAR standards and will receive a Certificate of Basic Training, Operator's photo-card ID, Training record and copies of all course work.

Maximum Trainees: Up to 3 Novices per Course if ratio 2 -1 then 4 days is allowable
